Resolution of Menstrual Delay and Systemic Pain via Acupuncture

Patient Information
Female, 26 years old.
Chief Complaints:

• Menstruation delayed for 21 days
• Low back pain (7/10)
• Stiffness and pain in the head and neck (7/10 when flexing or extending)
• Discomfort and mild pain in the lower abdomen (worsened after eating)
• Dry, red, and painful eyes (4/10)
• Poor sleep with frequent awakenings at night
• Irritable mood recently

Diagnosis and Treatment
On August 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM, acupuncture treatment was performed.
Only acupoints on both hands and feet were used; no needles were inserted at the sites of pain.

Treatment Outcome
Immediately after needling, the patient reported complete relief from anxiety, and all pain (back, neck, lower abdomen, and eyes) reduced to 0/10.
That night, she slept soundly through the night without waking.
Menstruation resumed the following day, returning to normal.
