Everything You Need To Know About Acupuncture & Thai Oasis

    What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture involves inserting very fine needles at selected points on the body. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, point selection may be based on patterns involving qi, meridians, and the relationship between different body systems. Contemporary explanations also examine how needling may affect nerves, connective tissue, and pain processing.

An acupuncture appointment is not the same for every client. Your practitioner selects points after considering your symptoms, health history, treatment goals, and response to previous care.

At Thai Oasis, standard acupuncture is provided by practitioners registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).

Intake forms are normally emailed after booking. Contact Thai Oasis if you do not receive them. Returning clients may be asked to update their health history periodically.

    2. Eat before your appointment

Unless another healthcare professional has instructed otherwise, avoid arriving on an empty stomach. A light meal or snack beforehand may help reduce light-headedness.
