Instant Relief of Five-Year Sciatic Pain with Scalp Acupuncture

Patient, male, 52 years old. For the past five years, the patient suffered from sciatic pain on both sides whenever he sat down with the pain level of 4/10 and the pain level went up to 9/10 when he sat for 30 minutes or more. Basically, he was unable to sit and he had to bend his knees to get his office jobs done everyday. The patient saw his family physician with prescription of pain relief medication. However, the painkiller was not working and cannot stop the pain. He tried all other treatments, including chiropractic, physiotherapy and massage therapy, but none of them was able to relieve his sciatic pain. Finally, he came and wanted to try acupuncture. the acupuncturist let the patient sit down on a chair and applied scalp acupuncture to treat the patient. Once the acupuncturist inserted a few needles on the patient’s scalp, the patient felt instant relief from his sciatic pain and the pain level went down to 0/10. The patient’s pain level was still 0/10 when he sat for more than 30 minutes.
