Recovery from Bell’s Palsy with Acupuncture

Patient, female, 34 years old. She suffered from Bell’s Palsy, with facial paralysis at her left side. She was unable to close her eye completely and she had to tape her eyes in order to go to sleep. She was unable to close her mouth completely. The left side of her face was completely paralyzed. She was referred by her family doctor for acupuncture treatment. Right after her first session of acupuncture treatment, she was able to close her eyes without taping her eyes when she went to sleep. After nine sessions of acupuncture treatment, she had 95% of recovery. She was so happy to see that acupuncture helped her recover from her Bell’s Palsy. This shows that acupuncture is effective at treating various types of medical conditions.
